Bombshell is a series of seven collages, inspired by the “Bombshell Girl” or “pin-up” girls that were painted onto the sides of WWII planes, bombers, and their bombs. This series explores the interchangeability between women and ‘machines’ in popular imagination. Virtually legless and armless, though implying movement through their curved bases, handles and tubes, these 'bombshells' are formed of various objects, some with stereotypical female associations.
